Job description
Our Journey So Far
At Snapp, we’re redefining how cities move. Our ride-hailing and mobility platform connects millions of riders and drivers every day, delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transport solutions. Powered by real-time data and robust infrastructure, we make urban travel faster, simpler, and more sustainable.
We operate with the mindset of a global tech leader and the agility of a startup, building services that scale across markets while staying responsive to local needs.

Your Impact
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the formulation and analysis of complex, real-world decision problems using data, statistics, and machine learning. You will apply strong theoretical foundations to design robust models, evaluate outcomes rigorously, and provide quantitative guidance to stakeholders.
This role requires deep analytical thinking, the ability to work under uncertainty, and a disciplined approach to modeling and experimentation. You are expected to influence decisions through clarity of reasoning, not just implementation.
What You’ll Drive Forward
Design, develop, and validate statistical and machine-learning models to support large-scale decision-making and policy design in a dynamic marketplace.
Formulate real-world problems using probabilistic modeling, optimization, and causal inference, accounting for uncertainty, constraints, and behavioral responses.
Partner with product, pricing, operations, and business teams to translate strategic questions into clear analytical and modeling frameworks.
Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests, quasi-experiments, uplift and response modeling) to measure the impact of decisions and policy changes.
Develop interpretable models and analytical insights that explain mechanisms and trade-offs, not just outcomes.
Collaborate with data and ML engineers to ensure models are production-ready, while maintaining ownership of model assumptions, evaluation methodology, and performance metrics.
Act as a subject-matter expert in statistics and machine learning, reviewing analytical approaches and challenging weak or unjustified assumptions.
Define and monitor metrics that reflect system health, user experience, and long-term marketplace stability.
Communicate results and recommendations through clear, structured narratives suitable for non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor junior data scientists on statistical reasoning, modeling discipline, and experimental design.
What Powers Your Drive
Strong theoretical foundation in:
- Probability and statistics
- Machine learning
- Optimization
3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with increasing ownership over high-impact analytical or modeling problems.
Proficiency in Python for data Science and modeling (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn; PyTorch/TensorFlow ).
Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale analytical datasets.
Strong hands-on experience designing, executing, and analyzing controlled experiments (A/B and multivariate tests) in real-world production environments.
Hands-on experience in experimentation and statistical evaluation, including metric definition and power analysis.
Ability to reason rigorously under uncertainty and produce quantitatively defensible recommendations.
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex analytical results to non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
Experience working in Kubernetes-based platforms (e.g., OKD )
Familiarity with deploying and supporting ML models in production
