Your Impact
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in MySQL, PostgreSQL, ProxySQL, and Pgpool. This role will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of our database systems while also driving automation through CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure. The DBA will be key in maintaining, optimizing, and scaling our data platforms to support business operations.

What You’ll Drive Forward

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain production and non-production MySQL and PostgreSQL database environments.

• Design and implement high-availability, replication, and clustering strategies (using ProxySQL, Pgpool, etc.).

• Automate database deployment, schema migrations, and operational tasks through CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure efficient database operations.

• Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Enforce database security, access control, encryption, and auditing.

• Participate in patching, upgrades, and version management of database engines.

What Powers Your Drive

Technical Experience:

• Strong experience as a DBA working with MySQL and PostgreSQL in production.

• Hands-on experience with ProxySQL and/or Pgpool

• Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform) for infrastructure and DB-related tasks

• Experience with CI/CD and database migrations, including schema versioning and automated deployment

• Strong understanding of database security best practices: roles, privileges, encryption, auditing

• Backup, restoration, and disaster recovery planning experience

• Performance tuning skills: indexing, query optimization, monitoring, and capacity planning
