About the Team

The DBA team is a group of professionals who work and maintain the databases of Snapp, and plays a critical role in managing and maintaining database systems. A database administrator, or DBA, is responsible for maintaining, securing, and operating databases and also ensures that data is correctly stored and retrieved. In addition, DBAs often work with developers to design and implement new features and troubleshoot any issues. you need to be sure your databases are available and running at peak efficiency.

Position Summary

As a Database Administrator, you must have In-depth knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL database architecture, features, and capabilities

Job requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL database architecture, features, and functionalities
  • Strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and management.
  • Experience in optimizing MySQL/PostgreSQL database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other tuning techniques.
  • Proficiency in setting up and managing MySQL/PostgreSQL backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Implementing and managing MySQL?PostgreSQL database security measures, including user access control, authentication, and encryption.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining high availability solutions for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, such as replication and clustering.
