Job description

Join our Network Engineering team at Snapp and play a pivotal role in building and sustaining the backbone infrastructure that powers mission-critical production services across multiple data centers and cloud environments. You will work alongside a talented cross-functional team to design, automate, and continuously improve highly available, resilient network systems at scale.

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable and resilient network architectures, including modern IP Fabric and VXLAN-based environments.

  • Automate network infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles; contribute to CI/CD-driven network operations workflows.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all routing and switching layers.

  • Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and conduct deep root cause analysis for complex networking incidents in production environments.

  • Collaborate closely with Security, Cloud, Database, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and secure hybrid infrastructure solutions.

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), runbooks, and change management procedures.

  • Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation to support business-critical infrastructure.

Job requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering within large-scale production environments.

  • Strong expertise in modern data center networking architectures, including VXLAN, BGP EVPN, SD-WAN, and IP Fabric designs.

  • Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VRF, MPLS, VLAN, and STP.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS) or comparable enterprise data center switching technologies.

  • Proven troubleshooting skills across L2/L3 connectivity in hybrid cloud network environments.

  • Practical experience with IaC and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, and REST APIs.

  • Solid understanding of network security fundamentals: ACLs, segmentation, firewall integration, hardening, and routing policies.

  • Familiarity with network monitoring, observability, and performance analysis tooling.

  • Ability to clearly document and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

YOU’LL STAND OUT WITH

  • Hands-on experience leading or participating in data center transformation projects, such as migrations from legacy infrastructure to VXLAN-based fabrics.

  • Experience operating and managing multi-region or multi-data center environments.

  • Proficiency in cloud networking.

  • Experience designing and maintaining automation pipelines using GitOps or CI/CD methodologies for network change management.

  • Background in network security engineering or a track record of close collaboration with security teams.
